We have updated our programs for Fall 2020!
Are you looking for a preschool community to become a part of this fall? Are you wondering how to find one that addresses your needs and concerns right now?
Triangle Cooperative Preschool is a group of students, parents, and teachers passionate about a love of play, learning and exploring, and sharing with each other along the way.
We are currently developing 3 preschool programs focused on play and community, with an eye on health and safety. Please contact us to learn about one, or more, of these programs. We would love to share the fun with you!
Triangle Preschool Class
We’re excited to explore a move of our traditional class to a mainly outdoor program to begin our year. We will spend our time in our beautiful playground, around the church, and are looking into some hikes to explore the areas around the school. The play-based program will be designed to meet the needs of our children as they are learning to relate to others, share, increase their self-care and independence, and explore the world around them. Our playground will have different centers, just like our indoor space, and we will be having circle times to share songs, movements, children’s news and fun topics. It will be offered to a multiage community of 3s, 4s, and young 5s, be in person in our beautiful school space, meet 3 days a week, and will be flowing into learning from home and back to school if/when necessary. If we need to create smaller groups, afternoon options may be offered. Taught by Christine Law.
Triangle Parent-Child Group
This program is a brand new offering for our school. If you would like to introduce your child to a unique play school environment, where you can remain as a guide for them, then this new program is for you. It will contain all the familiar aspects of our preschool day – singing, movement, circle time, activities, free play, and outside time in our newly created space. We are in the process of determining the logistics of days and time, but are considering beginning with 1 morning a week for 2 hours. Ages 2-3. Taught by Christine Law.
Triangle At Home
This program will meet 100% virtually, 2 mornings a week, for up to 30 minutes, in a live format that encourages interaction. We will be focused on fostering a classroom community together, and developing real teacher – student connections that preschoolers are so ready for. Preschool gives growing children a sense of security and normalcy. It provides a rhythm that ebbs and flows, and helps to build a touch point of connection in children’s lives. For those of us choosing to not come together in person right now, Triangle at Home will help to create that virtually. Come join with us to sing songs, read stories, dance and be silly, have lots of movement, and engage in the ritual of coming together to learn, explore, and play. There will be suggested arts and crafts activities to explore at home, as well as ideas for other activities for play and family fun. Age 2 ½ to young 5s. Taught by Renée Pesheck.
Triangle offers children a play-based curriculum that encourages the development of physical and social skills and provides daily opportunities for learning through play. Children are encouraged to think creatively, discover the importance of taking responsibility for himself or herself, and learn to function and cooperate in a group.
Because Triangle emphasizes learning through play, children naturally gain self-confidence and a sense of competence through completed tasks and play activities, and also learn to make choices among a variety of daily activities. Learning through play provides a fun way for children to develop their language, reasoning, and cognitive skills in a safe and comfortable environment.
